PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Course

ENRICHED AIR NITROX

Perhaps you’ve seen a funny word or decal while at a dive shop or at a dive center and wondered what it means. May have been Nitrox, EANx, or others.  The words may be different, but they all mean the same. Enriched Air Nitrox.

What is it?  It is a special gas mixture for diving that has less nitrogen than regular air.

What does that mean for YOU?  Longer dives and less surface intervals!  You may even find yourself less exhausted than standard air.

Once completed, you will be able to obtain Nitrox at dive shops with your certification card, stay underwater longer, use an oxygen analyzer, and use a Nitrox dive table or your dive computer.

Should you wish to save some money, add this on to an existing class for maximum benefit!

About the Enriched Air Nitrox class

This class has a 3-4 hour e-learning component. This can be done on computer, phone, or tablet. Once you have completed the learning modules, you will schedule a time to meet with your instructor to actually analyze a nitrox tank and determine Maximum Operating Depth (MOD) for that tank.
There is an optional dive associated with this certification. If you wish to complete the dive without additional classes, there is a $100 charge for the cost of the dive. This is best done by someone who is wanting to test out their dive computer to ensure it works in Nitrox mode as students without their own dive computers will only be able to use Nitrox dive tables.

If you are already doing another certification, this dive can be done concurrently with another dive. There is no charge to add the nitrox component to that dive.

Had a great guided dive with Matt on Rainbow River. He handled entry fees and water taxi, so all we had to do was gear up and enjoy! I rented gear from him, and the gear was in excellent shape. He is super friendly and made sure we got to check out all of the spots along the dive, pointed out animals, and also made sure we were ok along the dive. He was a very good guide. THE BEST!  these guys have been absolutely awesome. My wife and I booked a PADI advanced course with nitrox a year ago. My wife injured herself and we postponed only to have me injury myself right before we were supposed to make up our course. They have been accommodating and so nice.  They helped us get the most out of our nitrox course and e-learning and will absolutely go do our dive with them in the near future. So nice. so understanding. really here to help you learn to dive. Matt was the absolute best. From start to finish of my PADI Open Water Diver Certification and Enriched Air Diver Certification, Matt guided me through my E-Learning and in water dives making me feel confident in what I was doing the entire time.

During a dive I had a painful ear issue canceling our day. Matt kept me safe by calling it, we did troubleshooting and figured out I have a swimmers ear issue and was able to complete my training the next day. He made me feel like I was taken care of and not a burden which speaks volumes about him as an instructor and the knowledge and patience he has for his students.

I started this journey a year and a half ago and struggled with a different dive school/instructor. It took me that long to reach back out to someone because I was very discouraged by my previous performance even though I’m completely comfortable in the water. When I got ahold of Matt he made me feel confident in my abilities and everything literally seemed easy with him as my instructor. We were able to get extra pool time to work on what I thought I was going to have problems with and then that weekend got everything else knocked out at the springs!! Zero issues during training and I am very confident with what I learned and my abilities that I know I now have.
